The Ups and Downs of Panasonic Rice Cookers
I’m a huge fan of Panasonic 3.3 cup rice cooker. This baby gives me everything I need in a rice cooker, so it’s not a surprise why reviewers love it. I love its cool and simple design and other practical features. Panasonic rice cookers are among the choice of many consumers. A friend uses a Panasonic rice cooker and says she loves it.
Below are what some online reviewers say (good and bad) about rice cookers by Panasonic. Panasonic has many rice cooker models, but listing all of them here won’t be possible because of space limitations. So I randomly chose 5 units and included them here.
Panasonic SR-NA18 Rice Cooker
From Agatha, 41, teacher: I bought this rice cooker because of the great reviews. It’s a good rice cooker I must say. I particularly love the automatic adjustments, which help me make the perfect rice. I particularly like its washable inner lid and its self-cleaning feature. I love how it fits with my countertop. However, I have some minor problems with it. I couldn’t fit a head of cauliflower in it. I also wish the steamer tray was deeper.
Panasonic SR-G18FG
From Sarah, 27, bank teller: Everything went smooth with this rice cooker for the first three months. I thought it was The One. And then the water began to splatter like crazy. This device makes the rice boil many times, not a good thing. It creates some pretty annoying mess on my countertop. Worse, I often make poor rice. I’m not a fan of coarse rice. The spill over really kills me. I’ve followed all troubleshooting suggestions, to no avail.
SR-NA10 Rice Cooker by Panasonic
From Mark, 29, manager: I’m very pleased with the performance of this cooker. My family’s very particular about rice. And it doesn’t disappoint. We always have nice brown and white rice. What’s more, it’s dishwasher-friendly. The LCD display is another feature I like. It gives me an idea on how much time is left. What we have now is a pretty good rice cooker. I’m glad we have it.
SR-G10G Rice Cooker by Panasonic
From Jane, 36, librarian: The size is just right for couples or a family of 4. It’s true what other people say about it. It cooks rice nicely. I have tried cooking white and brown rice with this cooker with good results. Here’s a helpful tip: Adjust water quantity depending on the rice type. The rice cooker also has some dishwasher-friendly features. But there are some minor flaws. The lid and the handles are of poor quality, in my opinion. The price is right, overall.
Panasonic SR-3NA
From Lena, 27, entrepreneur: My friend gave me this rice cooker as a present. It’s the right size for single people. It’s soooo cute and makes good rice. This rice cooker is perfect for health-conscious people like me. This mini rice cooker perfectly fits well on my counter. I’ve been cooking with it almost daily for about two months now and this cooker (like other Panasonic rice cookers) is the bomb. The performance is great, so far.
